| Bred, Caligula's Accoyo Cascadia | |
Cascadia, a Caligula daughter, is a large boned full Accoyo female with very uniform, high amplitude, high curvature fleece and a gentle temperament. Based on what she produced this year when bred to Royal Avenger, we made the decision to rebreed her to Avenger once again for a spring 2009 cria. Royal Avenger is a Royal Fawn son who is producing champion after champion in the showring. Both Cascadia and Royal Avenger have high amplitude crimp. Given that, the offspring should some outstanding fiber characteristics. Cascadia sells with a rebreeding to any full Accoyo herdsire owned by Accoyos of Virginia following the birth of her 2008 cria. It will be a tough decision but the choices are Accoyo Lincoln, Accoyo Royal Avenger, Accoyo Mozart or Accoyo Prestige. |
| Bred, My Peruvian Accoyo Candelabra | |
Candelabra is a large framed female with plenty of substance of bone. Her topline is table-top straight and her conformation and legs are correct, as is her bite. With an 18.4 CV, her fleece is uniform and she has remarkable density. Her shear weight was one of the heaviest on the farm at this past spring’s shearing and that is a trait she passes on to her offspring. Candelabra would be an asset to any breeding program as she settles with just one breeding, delivers with no assistance and nurtures her offspring with just the right touch. To add the icing on the cake, she is a pleasure to work with. We have bred her to our medium fawn full Accoyo Leon son, Lincoln, for a June 2009 cria. |

| Bred, The Last Don's Autumn Topaz | |

This eyecatching young female has terrific presence. She is 7/8 Accoyo and typifies everything Accoyo. Her conformation is very straight and she has the most lustrous fiber we've ever seen on an alpaca. It is so silky that it resembles a suri's fleece. Now, if I were to talk about attitude, there would be no shortage of words to describe her. She's got plenty of it! She has been rebred to Accoyo Lincoln. It's difficult to be patient when you KNOW that her cria will be outstanding. He is producing cria with those amazing full-fibered heads that are highly sought after. Co-owned with Nonesuch Farm. |

| Cria, AOV Accoyo Chamonix | |
Proud as her Accoyo heritage, this young beige female has been prancing around the pastures since the minute she was up on her legs. She is correct and straight with a correct bite. With fiber that is radiantly bright, it's no surprise to see her fiber developing into soft and crimpy bundles based on her genetics. She's been a very healthy cria, doubling her weight in the first month. I know it's a long way off, but she sells with her maiden breeding when she is breeding age. With the color genetics in her background, she would be a good condidate for our new medium fawn Accoyo, Enterprise, who should be breeding by the time she is ready to be bred. |

This three-year-old male is from the Royal Avenger/Royal Fawn line. He is a beautiful light fawn male who is destined to do great things. His fleece has an exquistely fine handle with a tight, narrow crimp and a super staple length that is uniform throughout and coverage from head to fetlocks! Add in a wonderful, gentle temperament and you have the whole package. An interesting note on Bellagio is that he has a black palate and black toenails. His grandsire, Royal Fawn, is known to have a black color gene so it's entirely possible that Bellagio has the ability to throw black. You will note that he is consistently in the running in all the shows that he has been entered in. At one of his recent shows, the Virginia Classic, he placed second out of a class of 10. The judge remarked that he had the softest handle of any alpaca in the class. Co-owned with Heart's Desire Farm in West Virginia and Mill Creek Farm in Pennsylvania. |

| Herdsire, HDF Accoyo Mozart | |
We are thrilled to be able to add this full Accoyo male to our breeding program. No doubt, this full Accoyo El Moustachio son will take your breeding program to the next level. Mozart is the epitome of a full Accoyo macho. He is large boned with a beautiful head, wonderfully crimpy, soft-handled fiber and EXTREME density. His density was validated by his score of 19.75 out of a possible 20 in the MAPACA fleece competition in April 2005 where he was awarded a first place. For those seeking the possibility of color, he has a brown spot on his left side that increases the chances that he will produce color. For those of you who realize the importance of testicular size in determining the reproductive life of his female offspring, our vet, who is a camelid specialist, remarked that, "Mozart has the largest testicular mass of any male I've ever seen". His first round of offspring have already hit the ground. They appear to be phenominal in every respect. Co-owned with Heart's Desire Farm. |

| Herdsire, NWA, LTD Accoyo Prestige | |
This wonderful full Accoyo male has had a very illustrious career in the showring, having won numerous blue ribbons along with color championships and a reserve color championship. All this was accomplished in very large classes against some of the most highly recognized herdsires in the country. It's now time for him to pass on those wonderful genes to his offspring. The cria that he has already produced are a great representation of what this male can produce. Each offspring possesses extreme crimpiness along with a very soft hand on perfectly conformed frames. This male was selected by us not only for his very obvious phenotypcial attributes and his ability to pass on his best traits but also because the Pachacuti line is not common in the East Coast thus allowing us to breed him to all of our full Accoyo females who are totally unrelated to this line. PROUDLY CO-OWNED WITH HEART'S DESIRE FARM. |

| Herdsire, SA Accoyo Royal Avenger | |
Having purchased two of Avenger's multichampion daughters, one in the fall of 2005 and the other in the spring of 2006, convinced us that we should purchase this outstanding male if given the opportunity. In October of this year, the chance of a lifetime presented itself and we jumped on it. SA Accoyo Royal Avenger is the next generation of Accoyo excellence poised to sire a clan of superior offspring that carry the most recognized bloodlines to come out of Peru. His show record is phenomenal with 9 blue ribbons, a reserve color championship and 2 color championships of his own. He has sired high quality offspring whose over-all average sale price is $43,000--$49,500 for females and a high $21,500 for males. Among these offspring is the high seller from last year's Peruvian Classic Sale at $145,000! Of his offspring many are color or reserve color champions. His illustrous parentage makes it no wonder that Avenger is so preeminent among males. His sire is the high selling alpaca Accoyo Royal Fawn at $600,000, who has sired many champions. His dam is Accoyo Mariah, dam of ribbon winners. Avenger himself is an exceptional alpaca. His fiber sample taken from his first full shearing tested a mere 19.1 AFD, 3.7 SD, 18.8 CV and 0.8% greater than 30. He has maintained his fineness even as a seven year old. A partnership has just been formed between Warren and Kim Shand and Billy and Sarah Wagner of Accoyos of Virginia and Anthony Stachowki. BREEDINGS TO ROYAL AVENGER ARE RESERVED FOR FULL ACCOYO FEMALES PURCHASED FROM ACCOYOS OF VIRGINIA AND PURCHASED OUTSIDE BREEDINGS. |

| Junior Herdsire, AOV Accoyo Andante' | |
The first thing you'll notice about this light fawn youngster was just how bright he is--he just seems to glow. His fiber has the appearance of a suri's fleece, breaking into well defined staples that drape his body. It is ultra-soft fiber and has developed very deep crimp with high curvature and a long staple length. He's nice and straight, has a short muzzle, and is proud as a peacock. It's a rare occasion that you'd find him in any position other than proud and erect with his ears up. He is the spark plug in the pasture. He's always ready for action and doesn't hesitate to walk right up to the older guys to get things stirred up. |
| Junior Herdsire, AOV Accoyo Delgado | |
This guy was a humdinger--he tipped the scales at 22.8 and his small-framed mom was very relieved when he was born. His dam is an 11-year-old female that has the most oustanding density of any female we've seen. Not only that, but her fiber has the highest amplitude of any we've ever seen. It rivals that of some of the best females a quarter her age. That coupled with the fineness and density of Dante's sire, Royal Avenger, and we're going to have one outstanding male. He's blindingly white and has phenominal staple length. He's going to be a player! At less than two weeks of age, he was orgling and chasing every young cria (male and female, I'm ashamed to admit!) around the pasture and is attempting to mount them. This guy has got it down and will need no instruction when the time comes! |
| Junior Herdsire, AOV Accoyo Eagle's Summit | |
Talk about layers and layers of outstanding genetics. There's Caligula, Royal Fawn, Felix, Vengador and the Godfather. Summit is a nice square male with a very pleasing presence and a wonderful, gentle disposition. He's correct in every way--bite, legs and topline. His fiber is consistent from shoulder to rump and topline to belly and has a very silky handle to it along with narrow bundling. Thus far, he's been in two alpaca shows and has ribboned in both. Both shows were level four shows and I don't have to mention the steep competition in the white classes! As one of the conditions of the sale, we would like to retain four breedings to Summit. |
| Junior Herdsire, AOV Accoyo El Bandito | |
This is a tough little guy to take pictures of. He's so friendly that he constantly tries to walk up to you every time you try to take a shot. He's got very strong bone and is covered with brilliant, crimpy fiber. His head has developed into one of those desirable fiber heads. He loves to be around people and has a very outgoing and pleasant personality. His dam, Lily, is a Leon daughter who at six years of age has a micron of 20.4. With his sire's density and fineness and his dam's fineness, he is shaping up to be one outstanding male. As a condition of the sale of Bandito, we would like to retain four breedings. |
| Junior Herdsire, AOV Accoyo Phillipe | |
What a curious youngster this guy is and what a calm, gentle disposition! We all tend to have favorites born each cria season and "Flip" is my absolute favorite. We had an independent appraiser take a look at him and he definitely liked what he saw. He gave him 10s all the way across the board--conformation, fiber (fineness and uniformity) and bite. His dam, an Accoyo Elite daughter, had a 17.9 micron at four years of age and his mulit-champion sire, a Pachacuti son. has extreme density to go along with his uniform, fine, high frequency fleece. Phillipe just returned from the VAOBA Expo, which was eight alpacas shy of being a Level V show, with a third place ribbon. In a class of 14, the judge remarked about Phillipe's fine, dense fleece that was very organized and consistent throughout. As a condition of the sale of Phillipe, we would like to retain four breedings. |
| Junior Herdsire, AOV Accoyo Taser | |
What do you name a young male that is simply stunning? TASER seemed to be the appropriate choice. He is a male like none other. From the time his fiber dried off, he was not curly, but kinky curly. His dam is our multi-champion female sired by Royal Avenger. His sire is also a multi-champion and a Pachacuti son. Taser has been highly scrutinized and appears to be flawless. He is very refined and regal with correct conformation and a correct bite. At his first show, the VAOBA Expo which was eight alpacas shy of being a Level V show, the judge remarked about his highly organized and fine fleece along with his density and the consistency that carried throughout his fleece. |
| Junior Herdsire, AOV American Idol | |
Idol was another one of our big'uns. He weighed in at a whopping 21.7 pounds and shows no signs of being wimpy. I'd have to say that he has the most outstanding presence of all our 2007 cria. He just catches your eye and keeps drawing it back to him. He is packed with fiber and loaded with a ton of curls. His legs are nice and straight and he has one of those "mushroom cap" topknots. Phenotypically, he is picture perfect and seems to be heading in the right direction. He's got a number of the "greats" in his background: El Moustachio, Royal Fawn by way of Royal Avenger, and Augusto--he's got all the right stuff. Just look at his fiber stats. His fleece should maintain its fineness for a long, long time based on the fact that his SD and CV are so low. |
| Maiden, AOV Accoyo Ivory Lace | |
CONTRACT PENDING Never before have we seen a cria exhibit such curly fiber at birth. Both her multi-champion sire, Prestige, and her champion dam, Athena, have soft, high frequency fiber so one would expect that Lacey's will follow the same path. Athena's micron at three years of age was 19.9 with only 1.5% greater than 30. Now that's something to brag about! Lacey just returned from her first show, the VAOBA Expo which was eight alpacas shy of being a Level V show, with a second place ribbon. Not only did the judge find her phenotypically appealing, but he was very impressed with her fine, organized and dense fleece and remarked about her consistency throughout. Lacey sells with a breeding to any of our full Accoyo herdsires when she is breeding age. By the time she's ready to breed, we are hoping our super-fine medium fawn full Accoyo herdsire, Enterprise will be ready to go. He's currently showing all the signs that he will be ready to court the ladies. |
| Maiden, AOV Accoyo Silk Sachet | |
Sachet is the first offspring born to SA Accoyo Avenganza who you may recall was the highest selling female in the 2005 Peruvian Classic. We went on and showed Avenganza, an Accoyo Royal Avenger daughter whom we co-own with Stachowski Alpacas, and she made us proud by bringing home five first place ribbons, two color championships and one reserve color championship before retiring from her show career. We then bred Sachet’s dam to our full Accoyo Pachacuti son, Prestige. Prestige is no stranger to blue and purple either. He has four first place ribbons, two color championships and one reserve color championship, all in level V shows, to his credit. Even at eight years of age, this breeding male maintains a 23 micron fleece. So, just as one would expect, Sachet has benefited from the top quality genes of her parents. Sachet is a very feminine, beautiful and elegant maiden, correct in conformation and bite. Her fiber has independent staples that are buttery soft and extremely uniform in micron. The icing on the cake is that she sells with her maiden breeding to any one of our full Accoyo herdsires. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that our medium fawn full Accoyo male, Enterprise, who is dense, bright, crimpy AND super fine will be making the rounds with the ladies when Sachet is ready to breed. With his dark color and the color in her background, we would imagine that this pairing just might produce a beautiful fawn offspring. It’s something to think about! |
| Maiden, Bravado's Accoyo Penelope | |
Square and nicely proportioned, with perfectly straight legs and a correct bite, this sweet-natured female would be an asset to any breeding program. Her fiber is fine, with an AFD of 18.2, with plenty of brightness and tight crimp with broad independent staples. Penny sells with her maiden breeding to any of our full Accoyo herdsires when she is breeding age. |
