Fineness—isn’t that what every breeder is striving to achieve in their breeding program? It certainly has been the primary focus of our breeding program since becoming breeders in 2000. Chamonix, with a micron of 14.4 at 10.5 months of age, is positive proof that our breeding decisions are sound and that they are producing the results we are seeking. This full Accoyo maiden is the result of breeding her LF dam, an El Moustachio daughter, to our LF herdsire, Royal Avenger, whom we co-own with Stachowski Alpacas. This beauty is conformationally correct with a correct bite and crimpy, ever-so-soft fiber. She has a curious personality and pleasant temperament. Chamonix will be ready to breed this spring. We are thrilled to be able to offer her maiden breeding to our MF full Accoyo herdsire, Accoyo America Enterprise. This young male, at the age of 21.5 months, had a histogram that would be impressive for a white male--AFD 19.5; SD 3.6; CV 18.7 with only 0.6% greater than 30--even more impressive for a medium fawn! No surprise considering his sire, Accoyo Centurian, was the 2005 AOBA Nationals Fawn Color Champion. We feel certain that this pairing should produce an outstanding cria, quite possibly with color, based on his color and the color in her background. Chamonix is receiving quite a large number of hits on this website. It shouldn't be long before someone pulls the trigger and adds her to their herd. Don't be disappointed by missing out. |
